Captains Pitch Caravan Park is a small ten pitch site situated on an elevated vantage point overlooking the historical Abermule gorge (there is no chance of flooding here). Built in 2002 on part of our family sheep farm, once part of the Fronfraith Hall Estate, you can relax in comfort and enjoy our beautiful quiet countryside away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We have an orchard, wildlife and fishing lake with 100’s of acres of surrounding woodland, there are country lanes leading to historical castles, villages and market towns in the hills and valleys of the welsh borderlands.
The ten fully serviced pitches have mains electricity, water and sewage connection, gas heating and cooking, with parking alongside. Gas refill bottles available to buy onsite and there is good mobile phone reception.
Most major super markets and services are available in Newtown and Welshpool close by.Site fees for 2023 are £1685 per year in advance. Electricity is metered and charged separately.
We are open for ten months from 1st of February until 1st of December.
We are not signposted, viewing is by appointment only.
All Holiday caravans are owner occupied. Subletting is not permitted.
